This case study details the efforts of Żabka Group, a Polish retail company, to achieve its decarbonization targets through enhanced data management and reporting. The document outlines the business situation, where Żabka has been engaged in carbon reporting for several years, aligning its efforts with TCFD recommendations. The company sought to optimize its data collection processes and improve decision-making related to its decarbonization goals validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). To address these needs, Żabka implemented Microsoft Sustainability Manager, supported by Accenture and Avanade, to facilitate a streamlined process for carbon data analysis. The solutions included a customized Power BI reporting tool, a carbon data collection application, and a tailored Microsoft Sustainability Manager. The results indicate that Żabka achieved a unified tool for detailed carbon footprint analysis, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities. The case study emphasizes the importance of integrating environmental, social, and governance factors into business strategies.
