This case study details the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations at DGS, an international manufacturer of die casting components. The objective of the project was to harmonize business processes across multiple locations, which previously operated on siloed ERP systems. The integration aimed to enhance operational visibility and improve financial control. By adopting a hybrid agile approach, DGS successfully transitioned to a unified cloud platform, which facilitated better data flow and accuracy from manufacturing execution systems. As a result, DGS achieved a significant reduction in closing processes, gaining access to performance data two days faster. The study outlines the benefits of improved budgeting, enhanced reporting capabilities, and increased operational efficiency. It emphasizes DGS's commitment to digital transformation and the importance of leveraging advanced technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
