Aventus Technology Solution for Cargo Tracking

This case study details the collaboration between Aventus and Airport Perishables Handling (APH) to enhance cargo management at Heathrow Airport. APH faced significant challenges due to outdated legacy systems, which resulted in inefficiencies, human errors, and lack of real-time data visibility. The objective of the partnership was to streamline cargo tracking processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce errors in data recording. Aventus implemented a blockchain-as-a-service platform to create secure, transparent records and automate workflows. Key improvements included an 83% reduction in manual documentation, an 81% decrease in time between updates, and a 28% reduction in loading times. The solution enabled APH to decrease cargo transport time from four hours to just 30 minutes, significantly enhancing productivity and data accuracy.
