This case study details the implementation and use of Axiad Cloud for migrating a government organization's on-premises Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to a managed cloud solution. The primary objective was to transition approximately 3,200 smart cards and 4,500 machine certificates to Axiad Cloud, enhancing certificate management. The organization has experienced significant improvements, such as enabling self-service password resets, which previously accounted for a large volume of service desk calls. The transition has reduced the provisioning time for tokens from weeks to a streamlined process, allowing users to self-enroll. The case study also highlights the benefits of Axiad's managed solution, which alleviates the burden of maintaining an in-house PKI environment. While the organization appreciates the flexibility and ease of use of Axiad, they express a desire for the solution to be hosted in Canada. Overall, the case study illustrates the positive impact of Axiad Cloud on operational efficiency and user experience.
