This case study details the implementation of Sage Intacct as the financial management system for Skoah, a rapidly expanding spa and skincare brand. As Skoah grew from five products in 2002 to over 60, and opened numerous retail locations across Canada, they faced significant financial management challenges that QuickBooks could not address, particularly in integrating their legacy point-of-sale system. To overcome these challenges, Skoah partnered with BAASS to deploy Sage Intacct, which provided cloud-based capabilities and superior customer service. Following the implementation, Skoah successfully expanded into Seattle and Boston, doubling its retail footprint and planning further growth through franchising. The integration of Sage Intacct with other systems like Zenoti allowed for automated financial workflows, improved data accuracy, and effective multi-dimensional reporting. This transition not only reduced manual data entry but also enhanced the finance team's ability to manage multi-entity and multi-currency operations, ultimately facilitating better decision-making and strategic budgeting.
