EU Renewable Energy Directive and eFuels Analysis

This technical report examines the European Union's Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) and its implications for the emerging eFuel sector. It outlines the legal framework established by RED III, which governs the development of renewable fuels of non-biological origins (RFNBOs), including green hydrogen and its derivatives. The report details the production requirements and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions methodology that apply to both EU-developed projects and those outside the EU.
