This case study details the implementation of the PRISMIC® Electrical Control and Power Management System (ECPMS) for a major floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) project in South America. The project aims to support the petroleum and gas industry with a forecast production output of 2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2030. The FPSO, located in the pre-salt Santos basin, is designed to manage extreme operational conditions, including depths of over 2000 meters and the interconnection of 13 wells. The PRISMIC® ECPMS was customized to ensure reliable power supply and quality, featuring redundancy and rapid calculations for load management. The project faced challenges such as component availability due to global supply chain issues, which were addressed through effective communication and problem-solving. The successful delivery of the ECPMS solution reinforces the long-standing partnership between the involved parties and supports the sustainable development of the Santos basin.
