Impact of Better Life Farming on Tomato Farmers in India

This report presents findings from a study on the Better Life Farming (BLF) initiative's impact on tomato farmers in India, based on interviews with 275 farmers conducted between September and October 2025. The study outlines how BLF's services, including agricultural inputs and training, have contributed to improvements in farming practices and overall quality of life. Key findings indicate that 88% of farmers reported increased tomato production, with 63% noting higher income levels attributed to better farming techniques. The report details the challenges faced by farmers, including insufficient funds and limited guidance, which hinder the application of training received. Additionally, it highlights the need for expanded support services, such as soil testing, to further enhance farming outcomes. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) for BLF stands at 44, indicating a generally positive reception among farmers, though there remains room for improvement in service delivery and support.
