This case study details the experience of a national manufacturer and supplier of building materials that sought to replace its existing SIP infrastructure to enhance reliability, scalability, and security. Following a significant outage caused by a DDoS attack on their previous provider, the company identified critical requirements for the new solution, including support for high volumes of simultaneous calls and superior voice quality. The immediate need was for 25,000 direct inward dial (DIDs) and 80 toll-free numbers, with plans to expand to 50,000 DIDs across 1,500 locations. The company also required a solution that would integrate seamlessly into their existing IT environment and provide self-service capabilities. After evaluating several providers, they selected BCM One’s Pure IP Enterprise Voice, which met their needs for cost-effectiveness, high-quality voice service, and a management portal. The implementation process involved a detailed porting strategy to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
