Integration of MES in Aluminum Die Casting

This case study details the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) by beanTech for ZML Industries, a leader in aluminum die-casting. The objective was to interconnect the automatic High Pressure Die Casting islands within the Aluminum Division to enable real-time monitoring of performance and factory data. The solution included a MES based on the Aveva Wonderware platform, a data ingestion platform, and a Business Analytics system utilizing Microsoft Power BI. Key features of the solution include bidirectional communication between machines and the MES, real-time monitoring, and detailed process data capture for complete traceability. The advantages of this implementation include enhanced production efficiency, improved data reliability, and the ability to access Industry 4.0 incentives. The project aimed to optimize production processes by facilitating the exchange of information between systems and machines, ultimately leading to better control of production parameters and continuous improvement in manufacturing practices.
