IoT Platform for Monitoring Production Performance

This case study details the development and implementation of G4Factory, an IoT platform created by Gasparini Industries in collaboration with beanTech. The platform aims to enhance production performance monitoring and maintenance management in the manufacturing sector, specifically for machinery production. The primary objectives include providing real-time data and performance insights to operators and enabling Gasparini to offer value-based after-sales services. The G4Factory platform consists of four main components: G4MAKE, G4LEAD, G4CARE, and G4MES, each serving distinct functions to optimize machine performance and facilitate data collection. Additionally, the project incorporates Artificial Intelligence to assist operators in making real-time adjustments during the bending process. The case study outlines the advantages for both end customers and Gasparini, highlighting improvements in operational efficiency, reduced downtime, and enhanced after-sales services. Overall, G4Factory represents a significant advancement in integrating IoT technology within the manufacturing domain.
