This case study outlines the collaboration between Bell Integration and International Airline Services (IAS) to manage end-of-life (EOL) IT asset disposal in a compliant and sustainable manner. IAS, which has been serving the airline industry for over 25 years, faced challenges in disposing of a large volume of IT assets, including laptops and servers, while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and data security standards. The Group Information Technology Manager, Fivos Averkiou, emphasized the need for a streamlined and risk-free process to minimize e-waste. Bell Integration provided a tailored solution that included asset tagging, data wiping, and secure disposal, all while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and WEEE directives. The partnership allowed IAS to manage its EOL assets effectively, reducing the time and resources required from their IT team. The outcome was a cost-contained solution that not only addressed compliance but also optimized the recycling and reuse of IT assets.
