This technical report outlines the development and implementation of an automated methodology for generating diverse Human Body Model (HBM) variants. The objective is to ensure a comprehensive representation of the population and enhance understanding of how different body types interact with vehicle safety systems. The methodology utilizes anthropometric measurements from established databases, such as ANSUR and CEESAR, which provide detailed anatomical data. The process involves the use of a scaling tool that applies advanced morphing techniques to adjust the original HBMs while maintaining structural and functional coherence. A proof-of-concept pilot project demonstrated the successful downscaling of a VW group model, showing that the method can efficiently create customized body models. The report emphasizes the tool's potential for future applications, including modifications for different percentiles and female models, thereby addressing the need for individualized restraint systems in vehicle safety evaluations.
