This case study outlines the implementation of a reliable paging and bell system at Cardijn College, a multi-campus Catholic institution in Adelaide, South Australia, serving 2,250 students. The objective was to establish a highly dependable and easy-to-manage communication system capable of delivering clear announcements and scheduled bells across various indoor and outdoor zones. The solution involved the Biamp Vocia paging system, which includes Vocia DS-10 paging stations, Voltera amplifiers, and Desono loudspeakers. The outcome has been a robust paging platform that has provided uninterrupted service for over a decade with minimal maintenance. The system's IP-based architecture allows for straightforward scalability, essential for future campus growth. The ICT Director, Tony Sayce, emphasizes the system's reliability and ease of use, noting that it requires no constant supervision. The design incorporates redundancy to ensure local operation during internet outages, further enhancing its dependability.
