This case study details the implementation of digital invoicing and payment solutions by Daikin Comfort Technologies North America. The objective of the initiative was to reduce mailing costs and enhance customer adoption of electronic invoicing. Daikin has partnered with Billtrust since 2013 to manage invoice presentment, transitioning from a paper-based system to digital invoicing in 2019. Initial customer adoption was slow, prompting Daikin to collaborate with Billtrust’s eSolutions Team to run campaigns aimed at increasing the acceptance of digital invoices. The results were significant, with an average conversion rate of 86% achieved during two campaigns. A year after the first campaign, there was a 376% increase in customers receiving invoices digitally, rising from 13% to 62%. This shift is projected to yield savings of over $600,000 over three years as more customers adopt digital invoicing solutions.
