This case study details the implementation of a modern payment portal by Southwest International Trucks, a full-service truck dealer in North Texas. The objective was to enhance customer self-service capabilities for invoices and payments, thereby improving the overall customer experience. The dealership identified challenges in their legacy accounts receivable processes, particularly the absence of a self-service online portal, which led to inefficiencies in managing invoices and payments. To address these issues, Southwest partnered with Billtrust to integrate a digital billing portal with their existing Karmak Fusion system. The results of this implementation included a significant reduction in manual work for the accounts receivable team, as well as decreased customer inquiries regarding invoices. The AR team can now focus on more strategic initiatives, thanks to the time saved from automating payment processing. Feedback from team members indicates a positive reception of the new system, highlighting its impact on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
