This technical report presents a comparative analysis of the Maurice and MauriceFlex capillary electrophoresis systems, focusing on their performance in charge heterogeneity analysis of various biotherapeutic modalities. The study evaluates the analytical capabilities of both systems across four different types of biotherapeutics: a bispecific antibody (BsAb), a monoclonal antibody (mAb), a fusion protein, and an adeno-associated virus (AAV). Detailed methodologies for sample preparation and analysis are outlined, including the use of absorbance and native fluorescence detection modes. Results demonstrate that both systems yield comparable charge profiles and peak area values across all tested samples, as evidenced by the statistical analysis of percent relative standard deviation (%RSD) values. The findings indicate that both Maurice and MauriceFlex systems are suitable for charge heterogeneity analysis, providing reliable and consistent results for biotherapeutic characterization.
