Comparison of Maurice icIEF Cartridges for Charge Analysis

This technical report evaluates the performance of two icIEF cartridges available for the Maurice platform: the established Maurice cIEF cartridge and the newly introduced icIEF 400 cartridge. The study aims to assess the analytical capabilities of both cartridges by analyzing a diverse set of molecules, including USP mAbs 001 and 002, Mosunetuzumab, Belimumab, Abatacept, and AAV8. The report details the methods employed for sample preparation and analysis, including the detection modes used. Results indicate that both cartridges demonstrate comparable performance in terms of charge variant resolution and peak distribution across all tested samples. The data generated from both cartridges were analyzed using the Waters Empower Chromatography Data System, with findings summarized in various tables and figures. The conclusion emphasizes that the icIEF 400 cartridge offers enhanced throughput while maintaining performance consistency with the legacy cIEF cartridge, making it suitable for different phases of drug development.
