This case study documents the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation's strategic approach to enhancing donor engagement through the implementation of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT. The Foundation aims to improve fundraising efforts by leveraging advanced software features to connect with both longstanding and emerging donor demographics. As newer generations of donors become more tech-savvy, the Foundation created a 30-day virtual activity challenge called Jump In™ to attract new supporters focused on women's heart health. By embedding registration forms directly into their website, the Foundation aimed to create a seamless user experience and efficiently integrate new registrants into the Raiser’s Edge NXT system. The transition to Raiser’s Edge NXT was driven by the need to address server challenges and improve fundraising potential. The upgraded platform has empowered the fundraising team by providing analytical tools and features that enhance productivity and support lasting donor relationships.
