This document is a case study detailing the return on investment (ROI) of the SLII® training program implemented at Nissan Motor Company. The case study outlines how Nissan transitioned to a unified leadership training model, selecting SLII® for its simplicity and practicality. Over sixteen years, Nissan has conducted various ROI studies to assess the program's effectiveness in enhancing skills such as engagement, communication, and productivity. The most recent study involved a survey measuring behavior changes and performance improvements across multiple business functions and locations. Results indicated significant positive impacts, with 92 percent of participants reporting improved behaviors and 87 percent of direct reports noting increased engagement due to their leaders' enhanced performance. The study calculated an average performance improvement of 23 percent per participant, translating to an ROI of 452 percent, indicating substantial financial benefits from the training investment. The findings emphasize the importance of managerial support in maximizing training effectiveness and ROI.
