This document is a Total Economic Impact™ study commissioned by Apple, conducted by Forrester Consulting, which evaluates the potential return on investment (ROI) for enterprises deploying Mac devices. The study aims to provide a framework for organizations to assess the financial impact of integrating Mac devices into their operations. It includes interviews with decision-makers and surveys of hardware decision-makers and end users to aggregate experiences into a composite organization model. The findings indicate that investing in Mac devices can enhance digital employee experiences (DEX), improve security, and increase IT efficiency. The study quantifies benefits such as reduced support costs, avoided hardware expenses, and increased employee productivity, leading to a net present value (NPV) of $49.40 million and an ROI of 186% over five years. Additionally, it outlines unquantified benefits, including improved brand reputation and reduced energy consumption, while also detailing the associated costs of implementation and management.
