Vontier Procurement Card Programme Optimization

This case study outlines the collaboration between Vontier, a global mobility technology company, and BNP Paribas to optimize procurement payments and working capital across Vontier's European entities. The initiative was prompted by the end of negative euro interest rates, which necessitated a review of Vontier's procurement card setup. The project aimed to enhance supplier payments and cash flow while ensuring timely payments in accordance with negotiated terms. Vontier selected BNP Paribas based on their existing relationship and the competitive, innovative solutions offered. Key features of the new procurement card programme included integration with a designated payment service provider to facilitate seamless transactions and the use of virtual cards to enhance security and compliance. The results demonstrated significant improvements in working capital, including a reduction in days payable outstanding and enhanced cash flow management.
