Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad BoardPAC Case Study

This case study details the experience of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) in adopting BoardPAC, a board meeting automation solution. PAMB, with a legacy of 96 years in the insurance industry, sought to enhance its board meeting processes due to challenges associated with traditional hard copy methods. The company secretary, Tan Wen Li, outlined the inefficiencies and costs related to preparing physical board papers, which prompted the need for a more secure and efficient solution. After evaluating various options, PAMB partnered with BoardPAC in 2015, which allowed for quicker distribution of board papers and improved confidentiality by storing data on their own servers. The implementation of BoardPAC enabled the secretarial team to manage pre-meeting, during-meeting, and post-meeting tasks seamlessly. Tan Wen Li noted that BoardPAC not only saved time but also helped maintain good governance and control of privacy within the organization.
