This case study focuses on the implementation of BrainBox AI in Meera Tower, a 52-storey multi-residential building located in Dubai, UAE. The primary objective was to reduce electricity consumption and district cooling needs due to the building's arid desert climate and high humidity levels. The AI system was integrated with the existing Sauter control system, allowing it to learn the thermal behaviors of various zones within the building. This integration led to significant energy savings, achieving a 42.7% reduction in HVAC electricity consumption and a 24% decrease in district cooling needs. Additionally, the implementation resulted in a 37.9% reduction in carbon emissions. The case study illustrates how AI can optimize HVAC systems, improve tenant comfort, and extend the service life of equipment, demonstrating the potential for energy efficiency in the built environment.
