This document is a technical report detailing the development and implementation of the WaterIQ platform aimed at modernizing rural water management in Queensland. The report outlines the challenges faced by the Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers, including inefficiencies due to manual processes and fragmented data sources. The objective of the project was to create a secure, user-friendly digital platform that allows rural water users to manage their entitlements and access real-time data. The solution, developed by a consortium led by Adasa and including Brennan, features a web portal and mobile applications built using .NET and React, integrated with Dynamics 365 for back-office operations. Key outcomes include improved customer experience, enhanced operational efficiency, and strengthened regulatory oversight. The platform supports sustainable water management and aligns with Queensland's non-urban water metering standards, contributing to long-term goals of digital transformation and resilience against climate variability.
