This case study details the implementation of Brightly’s Asset Essentials at Fayetteville State University, a historically black university located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The university, which has a campus covering 156 acres and serves 6,787 students, faced challenges in managing numerous maintenance requests from faculty, staff, and students across its various academic buildings and facilities. The facilities team struggled to keep up with work orders and maintenance tasks due to a young staff and the volume of requests. By adopting Asset Essentials, the university was able to streamline its maintenance operations, allowing for better tracking of work orders and improved communication among the maintenance team and requesters. The user-friendly interface of Asset Essentials facilitated the onboarding of new staff members, such as Casandra Herrera-Ayala, who found the system essential for managing incoming requests efficiently. The case study illustrates how the software has enhanced the university's facility management processes and improved overall operational efficiency.
