This case study outlines the transition of benefits administration to bswift for a client in the mechanical construction industry. The objective was to introduce employee self-service enrollment for the first time, which was previously managed by HR Business Partners. The solution involved enabling employees to adopt new technology and processes for accessing and enrolling in benefits. The transition was marked by a seamless event, achieving an 89.4% participation rate during Open Enrollment, with high engagement levels on the first day. Nearly half of the enrollees utilized the Emma tool for plan recommendations. The study details the development of a unified Total Rewards visual identity and a change-management-focused communications strategy to support the shift to self-service enrollment. Additionally, it describes the provision of tools and messaging to local HR teams and the execution of multi-channel campaigns to sustain awareness of the value of the programs throughout the year.
