This case study outlines a multinational biopharmaceutical company's initiative to enhance leadership effectiveness amid significant organizational changes. The company faced challenges such as leadership transitions, loss of exclusivity on a key drug, and the need to diversify its product pipeline. Recognizing leadership as a critical factor for transformation, the CEO established new Leader Expectations, which included a competency model focusing on essential behavioral shifts. To ensure accountability, a performance management framework was implemented alongside a customized 360 and 180 feedback process developed in partnership with BTS. This initiative aimed to create a feedback culture and align behaviors with the new expectations, ultimately enhancing leadership skills across the organization. In the first year, approximately 1,700 leaders participated in the 360-evaluation, receiving detailed feedback reports and access to development resources. The program's success is evidenced by high participation rates and plans for expansion to include more leaders in subsequent years.
