This document is a case study detailing the implementation of the Unified Knowledge Layer (UKL) at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust (NSCHT). The Trust aimed to improve the management and dissemination of meeting outcomes, committee reports, and project work to enhance efficiency and reduce missed actions. The UKL was developed using CACI’s MooD no-code software, which allowed for rapid prototyping and user involvement. Key functionalities include Meeting Manager, Action Manager, and a Personal Dashboard, enabling users to manage meetings, track actions, and view priorities effectively. The solution supports single sign-on and access controls, ensuring secure information sharing. The implementation of UKL is expected to streamline operations, reduce overdue actions, and enhance overall management efficiency. The Trust plans to expand the use of UKL across the organization, with additional modules for stakeholder engagement and Active Listening in development. The project reflects a significant step towards digitizing management information and improving operational workflows within the Trust.
