This document is a case study detailing how the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Books Program improved its engagement efficiency by 2.3 times through a partnership with Editage Digital Media Solutions (DMS). The AGU Books Program, known for its extensive publishing legacy, aimed to enhance the visibility of its new releases among global audiences. To achieve this, AGU implemented a pilot initiative that featured short-form video content showcasing newly published titles. The strategy included producing Q&A-style video interviews with authors, creating engaging snippets, and developing customized video scripts tailored to AGU's audience. The collaboration resulted in optimized video formats for social media and infographics to visually communicate key ideas. The impact of this initiative was significant, with 44 social media posts published during the campaign, one-third of which included video content created by DMS. The case study concludes that the partnership effectively increased visibility and engagement for the AGU Books Program across academic and professional communities.
