Impact of Impartial Careers Advice Consultation Findings

This document is a report detailing the findings from a consultation and roundtable discussion conducted by Career Connect at the House of Lords. The primary objective of the consultation was to gather insights on the impact of independent and impartial Careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG). The report outlines the key findings, emphasizing the importance of CEIAG in preparing young people for future education and employment. It highlights the gaps in current evidence regarding the provision of CEIAG, particularly for young people aged 16-24 who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET). The report discusses the need for frameworks similar to the Gatsby benchmarks for this age group and identifies priorities for future research. Additionally, it addresses the role of various stakeholders in filling evidence gaps and the necessity for a coordinated approach to enhance the quality of careers support.
