This guide details the Port of Seattle Truck Registry, which is part of CargoSprint's eModal Drayage Truck Registry (DTR) that supports the Clean Truck Program. The DTR was implemented to comply with the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy established in 2008, aiming to manage and verify drayage trucks entering the port complex. The system ensures that only trucks with a 1994 or newer engine can access the Seattle port terminals, thereby driving compliance with port emission programs. Since its launch in 2010, over 5,900 trucks and 1,100 trucking companies have registered. The registration process requires the truck's VIN, license plate, make/model, and contact information. Compliant vehicles receive a “Green Gateway” sticker. The Port of Seattle has also adopted an RFID tag identification program integrated with eModal, enhancing efficiency by allowing trucking companies to manage their data and RFID tags within a single system. This integration standardizes operations across the US West Coast.
