This case study outlines PUMA's implementation of IoT-enabled managed services aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and improving indoor air quality (IAQ) in its stores across India. The initiative is part of PUMA's broader 'FOREVER. BETTER. Sustainability Strategy,' which integrates sustainability into its core business functions. The collaboration with Carrier Abound began in 2021 and expanded to all company-owned stores within two years. The managed services focused on optimizing energy consumption while ensuring compliance with corporate policies related to temperature and humidity. Key results from the implementation include an average energy savings of over 10% and successful humidity control in 65 stores. Additionally, 11 stores received certification for maintaining healthy indoor air quality. The case study emphasizes the proactive management of store operations through real-time monitoring and analytics, enabling PUMA to enhance customer experience and employee working conditions while committing to environmental sustainability.
