

This case study details the cloud migration undertaken by Haysmacintyre, a firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers based in London. The firm faced challenges with its existing on-premise IT infrastructure, which was complex and lacked effective disaster recovery solutions. Following a significant incident in 2017 that highlighted these vulnerabilities, Haysmacintyre sought a more modern IT environment that could support its growth. The solution involved migrating to a fully managed service via CDW’s cloud platform, ServiceWorks, which included disaster recovery and proactive monitoring. The implementation of Cisco Meraki for network infrastructure and Citrix Virtual Desktops for remote working capabilities allowed for improved efficiency and flexibility. The migration was managed by CDW, ensuring a seamless transition. The outcome of this project has enabled Haysmacintyre to enhance its IT capabilities, streamline operations, and better support its staff and clients, all while maintaining cost neutrality compared to the previous infrastructure.
