This research article presents a study on the assessment and governance of industrial internet maturity within the building materials industry, utilizing the entropy weight method and factor analysis. The objective of the study is to construct an index system that evaluates the maturity level of the industrial internet specifically for building materials companies. The authors detail the methodology, which includes factor analysis to establish an evaluation index system and the entropy method to assign weights to various evaluation indicators. The study involved empirical research with 59 representative companies, leading to the identification of seven key indicators for assessing maturity. The findings indicate that most large-scale companies are at a primary stage of maturity, with strengths in information network infrastructure but weaknesses in comprehensive integration and data analysis capabilities. The research contributes a maturity model tailored to the building materials industry, aiming to guide government decision-making and assist companies in self-assessment to address challenges such as high energy consumption and low efficiency.
