Systematic Literature Review on Trust and Security in Fintech Adoption

This research article presents a systematic literature review focusing on the role of trust and security in the adoption of financial technology (Fintech) within the banking sector. It synthesizes existing literature to highlight behavioral intentions related to Fintech, emphasizing the importance of trust and security as critical factors influencing consumer adoption. The review employs the ROSES framework to analyze 26 articles from Scopus and Web of Science databases, identifying five primary themes and 24 sub-themes. It discusses the evolution of Fintech and the associated risks, including cybersecurity threats and data privacy concerns, which can hinder adoption. The article also identifies research gaps and suggests future research directions using the TCCM framework. By integrating multidisciplinary theories, this study aims to provide insights for Fintech companies and regulatory authorities to enhance the adoption of Fintech services in banking. The findings underscore the need for a comprehensive understanding of trust and security dimensions in Fintech adoption.
