Building Automation System Optimization Program

This document is a case study detailing the Building Automation System (BAS) optimization program implemented by Pasadena Independent School District (Pasadena ISD) in collaboration with Cenergistic. The district, which serves over 50,000 students across 67 campuses, faced challenges with aging infrastructure and inefficiencies in its BAS, leading to higher energy costs and inconsistent comfort levels. The optimization program aims to enhance energy efficiency and improve overall building performance through a phased retro-commissioning plan. This process includes detailed assessments of the BAS in various buildings to identify opportunities for improvement. The case study outlines the value delivered by this initiative, including savings earmarked for enhancing educational resources and infrastructure improvements, ultimately contributing to a better learning environment for students and staff. The collaboration with Cenergistic is presented as a strategic partnership focused on achieving long-term energy savings and operational efficiency.
