This study is a research report conducted by Cambia Information Group, focusing on the cloud adoption journey of public sector organizations. Data was collected through 250 telephone interviews with respondents from public administration and public safety and justice roles, all responsible for technology purchase decisions. The study outlines the unique challenges these organizations face in moving to the cloud, including budget constraints, compliance issues, and security concerns. It highlights that while many respondents recognize the benefits of cloud technology, such as enhanced collaboration and improved online experiences for citizens, a significant portion feels 'stuck' in their cloud journey. The report also presents key findings regarding the perceived benefits of cloud adoption, emphasizing that factors like organizational readiness and the experience of cloud vendors play crucial roles in the decision-making process. The objective of the study is to provide a benchmark for public sector organizations to assess their cloud journey and identify areas for improvement.
