State Integrated Recovery Operations and Management Systems

This document is a technical report detailing the State Integrated Recovery Operations and Management Systems (SIROMS) implemented by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (NJDCA) in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The report outlines the challenges faced by NJDCA in coordinating recovery efforts and the necessity for a comprehensive recovery plan. It describes the establishment of SIROMS, a software application developed with CGI’s assistance, which automated the disbursement of recovery funds and improved tracking and reporting capabilities.
