This case study details the collaboration between a Mission Critical Data Center Provider and Chatsworth Products (CPI) to create a customized hyperscale containment solution. The project aimed to design and manufacture a tailored containment product for hot aisle containment (HAC) or cold aisle containment (CAC) for a new data center. The project, valued at over five million dollars, required a tight deadline of 12 weeks for the first delivery and a total completion time of four months. CPI conducted extensive research to understand the customer's specific needs, focusing on scalability and cooling efficiency. The engineering team developed multiple design drafts based on customer feedback, leading to a prototype that underwent several revisions. The case study outlines the challenges faced, including supply chain issues and the need for effective communication strategies. Ultimately, the successful delivery and installation of the containment solution highlighted the strong partnership and adaptability of CPI in meeting customer requirements.
