LiUNA's Data Insight and Migration Strategy

This case study outlines the data migration and visualization strategy employed by the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) in collaboration with Cherry Bekaert Digital Advisory. The primary objective of LiUNA is to enhance the lives of its members by analyzing membership data to improve advocacy efforts. The organization transitioned from a legacy file-based application system to a SQL Server-based data warehouse, integrating data from disparate sources. Cherry Bekaert assisted in validating the new data warehouse structure and created Tableau QC reports to ensure data accuracy during the migration process. The project evolved to include the development of executive-level reports and dashboards using Tableau, enabling LiUNA to better advocate for its members and engage with local issues. Additionally, the partnership with Cherry Bekaert facilitated the use of Alteryx Software for data ingestion and manipulation, further enhancing data accuracy and insights. The collaboration has significantly improved LiUNA's operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
