Automation Solution for Intralogistics System Development

This technical report outlines the collaboration between montratec GmbH and Cideon Software & Services in improving intralogistics systems through automation. The report discusses the development of a bridge solution that allows for the automatic transfer of configuration data to the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, significantly reducing inefficiencies and errors during project implementation. It details the challenges faced, such as the need for adaptability in a rapidly changing market and the integration of complex transport systems. The report describes how the Cideon Conversion Engine was utilized to streamline processes, enhance traceability, and enable flexible design solutions for the montrac® modular transfer system. The implementation involved overcoming technical hurdles related to data consistency and compatibility between systems, ultimately resulting in faster project execution and improved engineering throughput. This case illustrates the successful application of automation technologies in optimizing manufacturing workflows while addressing the requirements of Industry 4.0.
