Development of Digital Spare Parts Catalog Solution

This document is a case study detailing the collaboration between kolb Cleaning Technology GmbH and Cideon to develop a digital spare parts catalog. The objective was to create a modern solution for ordering spare parts that would enhance customer experience and streamline processes. The project began with a request from customers for a digital catalog, moving away from traditional printed lists. The collaboration involved utilizing Autodesk technologies and customer feedback to ensure the solution met market needs. The Cideon Sparify solution was developed to allow customers to access 3D models and metadata for spare parts directly through a cloud platform. The implementation included technical improvements based on customer requirements, such as enabling collective uploads for efficiency and offering multilingual support. The solution went live on kolb's website in April 2024, simplifying internal communication and providing a clear interface for users. Overall, the project exemplifies effective partnership and innovation in the electronics manufacturing industry.
