Cirata Subversion MultiSite Plus Implementation for Juniper

This technical report outlines the challenges faced by Juniper Networks in managing geographically distributed development teams across three locations: Sunnyvale, CA, Quincy, WA, and Bengaluru, India. The report details issues such as Subversion access delays, slow source control management performance, load balancing difficulties, and access management inefficiencies. To address these challenges, Cirata implemented its Subversion MultiSite Plus solution, which included seven Subversion servers across three data centers, enabling seamless collaboration. Key benefits of the solution included low latency access, efficient load balancing, consistent access control, selective replication, and flexible authentication methods. The report also highlights the results achieved, including improved developer efficiency, centralized administration, and high availability with a target reliability of five nines.
