Accelerated Code Generation and Cost Reduction Using GenAI

This document is a case study detailing the modernization efforts of a global leader in medical device manufacturing to enhance their software development and infrastructure automation processes. The client faced challenges due to the impending end-of-support for Xamarin, their primary mobile app development framework. To address this, the client sought an expedited migration strategy to transition to a supported framework while minimizing operational disruptions. The case study outlines how GenAI-driven automation was implemented to accelerate development, streamline infrastructure management, and reduce costs. Key solutions included automating Angular and NodeJS code generation, leveraging GitHub Copilot for migration and code refactoring, and automating unit testing and deployment scripts.
