This research report presents findings from a survey conducted among UK speech and language therapists (SLTs) regarding their experiences with telehealth in the assessment of aphasia. The study aimed to explore the use of telehealth for conducting assessments and outcome measures, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 124 SLTs participated in the online survey, which assessed their demographics, experiences with telehealth, and future plans for its use. The results indicated that over 80% of respondents utilized telehealth during the pandemic, with more than 90% intending to continue its use. Common barriers identified included internet access issues and practical challenges in sharing resources online. The therapists expressed a need for training and resources tailored for telehealth assessments. The report concludes by highlighting the necessity for further research to validate assessment measures for telehealth and to develop resources that can facilitate effective telehealth practice in aphasia therapy.
