This case study outlines the compliance journey of a major American airline that transitioned from a legacy privacy vendor to Clarip for improved data subject request (DSR) management and Global Privacy Control (GPC) compliance. The airline faced significant challenges with its previous vendor, including labor-intensive processes and the inability to automatically detect user opt-out preferences, which raised compliance concerns. In early 2023, the airline recognized the need for a more efficient solution due to evolving privacy regulations. The decision to adopt Clarip's services allowed for immediate compliance without waiting for updates from the legacy provider. The airline implemented a phased approach, initially using Clarip for GPC and Do Not Sell/Share (DNSS) requests while gradually migrating all DSR requests. This transition led to the automation of approximately 115,000 requests per month, significantly reducing manual labor and enhancing customer trust through improved data transparency. The case study highlights the effectiveness of Clarip's solutions in addressing regulatory demands and streamlining privacy management.
