This case study details the collaborative project between BAM UK & Ireland Financial Shared Services and Clearsulting, focusing on the implementation of BlackLine for improved accounting and reconciliation processes. The project aimed to enhance visibility and accountability within a tight timeline, with a goal to be operational by December. The enablement approach adopted was a fixed-fee, 13-week project targeting two specific modules: Reconciliations and Tasks. Key stakeholders from Finance, IT, and Clearsulting were actively involved throughout the project, ensuring effective communication and alignment. The team created an internal site for training materials and documentation, facilitating knowledge retention and support for team members. The project was completed on time and within budget, leading to increased visibility into close processes and clear ownership of tasks. Following this success, BAM plans to extend the use of BlackLine across other divisions, indicating a commitment to continuous improvement in their operational processes.
