EMEA Evolve Data Study on Compliance and Data Management

This document is a research report that examines the evolving data landscape in the EMEA region, focusing on compliance concerns and the hidden costs associated with data management. The report outlines the challenges organizations face in keeping up with rapidly changing compliance regulations, such as Schrems III and the EU’s Digital Services Act. It highlights that many organizations are utilizing multiple point solutions to manage their data, which complicates compliance and increases costs. The study reveals that 66% of IT decision makers express concern over data spiraling out of control, while 79% cite compliance as their primary concern. Additionally, the report discusses the integration tax that arises from using various point solutions, which adds complexity and long-term costs to data management. The findings are based on a survey of 850 IT decision makers across various industries in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the Middle East, conducted between March and April 2023.
