This case study details the implementation of simulation-based training at the American Line Builders Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (ALBAT). Faced with challenges such as limited training time and equipment access, ALBAT sought to enhance its training programs. The organization integrated CM Labs’ simulation solutions, which included mobile trailers equipped with training packs and the Intellia Instructor system. This approach allowed for a hybrid training model that combines live equipment exposure with simulated environments, enabling apprentices to gain essential skills safely. The case study outlines how simulation standardizes training, reduces risks, and improves learning outcomes. It also highlights the collaborative relationship between ALBAT and CM Labs, emphasizing the importance of ongoing support and curriculum development. The use of simulation has transformed the training experience, allowing apprentices to practice skills in a controlled setting and ensuring they receive equal training opportunities. Overall, the integration of simulation technology has become a foundational element in ALBAT's training strategy.
